Yeah I was gonna add a rerelease for em1 in the poll but I didnt have an image for it so I left it out. Off-Topic I honestly think Epic Donald and Em3 or Em1 rerelease could only sell well on console as it is hard to sell for PC.
PC sells a lot of games too...
I'm still not sure what Epic Donald is supposed to be. Honestly, I thought someone was taking a joke too seriously for years. I guess it was supposed to look like old stuff so that's why it's attached, but that seems like a tedious connection to me unless the story was going to actually be in Wasteland. So not that one.
The racing game is a gimmick. As nice as it would be to have Oswald as an option in something like that, it'd be a huge waste.
That leaves EM3 and a movie, which is more of a harder question. I like Epic Mickey because I like unconventional creepy and I like the meta aspects the first game utilized (it's really cool and creative to have a game with a story that ties into real events like that). The second game made it clear they don't really intend to follow up on that first one at all and the latter got shoved way to the backburner if it was there at all. So if a third game were to happen I presume it'd be another adventure of the two bland guys who barely know what's going on...but at the same time, I think video games are better to explore the unconventional creepy/dark aspect, and much more likely to actually use it, overall. I'm far from one of those people who's shocked every time someone dies in a Disney movie, but they don't really make things like the ever-present dreary atmosphere the first game has (at least not now). But Epic Mickey did actually get made, and as far as I know Kingdom Hearts is similarly dark (probably helps that they didn't cripple that franchise at the beginning...sorry, I'm bitter...), so obviously there's more willingness to go that route for that medium.
And, as I said, video games, I feel, are just better for creepy. It's a lot easier to create a feeling of isolation or make you really feel like you're exploring an area, just to name a couple reasons. Sound design is super important for atmosphere, also, and things like "bark-talk" aren't going to happen in a movie but I think contributed a lot to the feel of the whole thing.
So I guess what I'm saying here is...I'd want a video game if there was a chance a video game would go back to being what the first Epic Mickey strove to be. If wasn't going to, though, then movie. I do think the overall story of Epic Mickey is enough to be a movie (obviously some stuff needs to be fleshed out) and that would spotlight the meta story, at least.
I voted Epic Donald as a 3D Ducktales Platformer is something that I feel atleast has some sort of chance of happening even if it isn't any of the original plots.
In all honesty, I would really love it if a remake/reboot of the original game was made as the Epic Mickey series genuinely deserves a second chance at being something big.
I dont think a reboot would be as good as it is just the same game but with slightly different things. I would rather have an Epic Donald or Epic Mickey 3.
The first EM was very good though. It's biggest flaw was probably just the camera. It would be awesome to see in modern graphics. Or in a cinematic adaption. However, I believe we will see neither. Maybe I'll post about that soon.
