In Epic Mickey 1 I discovered a strange glitch. I don't know if it is on all ports of Epic Mickey as I only own the American releaes. I found it purely by chance. If you paint the clocktower after getting paint upgrade and after it saved I quite the game and rejoined and the camera which usually is in a fixed state can now move, but if moved in a certain way it will go back to staying in the fixed state. For me to achieve this I moved the camera so I could thin the painted clockface then paint it back causing us to give me another paint capacity, as far as I know this can be done as many times as possible, be warned if done above the maximum amount of pain on a normal play through the game will default the view of paint capacity to three bars but you will still have those bars of paint even though they are not viewable
What's on your mind?

General Discussion
My post before this one talked about replacing The Mad Doctor with Julius The Cat as the final boss in Epic Mickey 2, but the replies actually made me rethink the idea.
So, my rethought of the design is this:
1: The Mad Doctor stays as the final boss in EM2, but the post-credits scene is changed a bit, adding a scene i will talk about later.
2: EM3 does take place in both ToonWorld(where all unforgotten toons reside) and Wasteland, and the final boss/overarching antagonist is Doctor Frankenollie(y'know, the main villian of Runaway Brain), who is creating conflict with forgotten villains and unforgotten villains with the help of the Petes and Prescott(against Presscot's will).
3: After Frankenollie is defeated, he is banished to Wasteland, but this directly causes EM4, because he secretly goes under Wasteland to meet with his leader, and the big bad, overarching, main antagonist, Julius The Cat.
4:(this part is explaining why Julius is the bad guy) Julius is the main cause of all the Epic Mickey games, as he is the one who ordered the Mad Doctor to bring Mickey to Wasteland, yet at the end of EM2, The Doc severs ties with him, which is fortunate, as he now orders the Petes to work with his new pawn, Frankenollie.
When Frank gets sent to Wasteland, he constructs a replica paintbrush for Julius, with which he plans to raise Thinner levels, overflowing out of Wasteland into ToonWorld, but before that, he constructs mechs piloted by Blot Spirits that are other forgotten toons, like Fanny(Oswald's former love), J.P. Whiskers(Ortensia's dad) and Homer the Cat(Ortensia's little brother).
I will discuss the rest of the rewrite in the future.
I think the oswald that is in the car in mickeys mecchanical man its just a reisue from the rabbit with a hat that rides a tank in great guns
I've noticed that most location pages seem to have an inconsistent formula going on with, especially pages like Dark Beauty Castle and Gremlin Village vs Tomorrow City and Lonesome Manor. The former two lists tons of information based on the sub areas and the collectibles, but gets very overwhelming while the later two simply lists the sub areas, projector screens, and characters found within the area and includes history of the area. The later looks much more organized and gives more purpose to having pages based on sub areas that can go into more detail.
So the plan I came up with is to…
Redesign the following pages: Dark Beauty Castle, Gremlin Village, and Mickeyjunk Mountain
Work on the sub areas of the Mission Words. Since most of the later areas already are formatted for these pages to be navigated to, it would only make since that these pages include the more in-depth information like collectibles and guides. I think these pages should be formatted somewhat like this:
So that's the sort of thing I was thinking of doing. Naturally there would still be other things like an infobox and a gallery. What is everyone else's input on this idea?
Also wanted to mention that I have been gathering screenshots of the maps of each area so that will be a thing I'll be getting soon.
A new community initiative is being launched to improve the wiki's category organization! More details and how you can help can be found here.
As we are currently in the first phase, your opinions are needed on which categories should be merged, renamed, or kept the same. Please read through the Initiative Hub and use this thread to voice your opinions and discuss with other editors.
Hello, I'm Scrooge MacDuck, occasional contributor on ths Wiki, but, more importantly, the main administrator of the $crooge McDuck Wiki. The goal of that wiki is to be a unified Wiki about the entire universe of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse.
Though there's clear pros to keeping the Epic Mickey Wiki separate, I still think merging the Epic Mickey Wiki into it might not be a bad idea. So, here goes this post, just ot check if anyone would be in favor.
Do keep in mind that the $crooge McDuck Wiki is going to cover Epic Mickey material regardless. (If you want to help with that you're welcome anytime.)
Since getting into some Epic Mickey 2 PC files, I read some unused sentences and another stuff, by opening the "Localize" files with Notepad++
I discovered more about the Wonderful World of Evil TV show, which Prescott comments. They even mention the creation of the Blotworx and discuss Autotopia and the Sea of Guardians! And I found more unused Gremlins, one of them is called Gremlin Skyler. They even mentioned Gremlin Barry, who worked on a Gremlin Vault or something. Also many Gremlins which are from the first game and did not made it into the second game, are mentioned.
My question is, should the unused Gremlin names be added to the Wiki? I can try get all the names here, if I am allowed. I already shared some in the Epic Mickey Discord server.
This is a reminder that Wikia are planning to phase out the forums eventually.
The forums are still good for general chat, but it really be better if people started using Discussions for long term projects and posts!
We're still working on getting blog posts back, and we will hopefully have them soon.
Not sure if I posted about this here but, sometime back I found the music for EM2's E3 trailer. You can hear it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiUKzBmu2k4
After a long hiatus, I finally got my own laptop, and I'm ready to help out again!
So as you may know, I've been digging around the the files of the first and second Epic Mickey games to find some test/unused levels, debug functions and scrapped content. I know a lot of this stuff may have already been found by GremlinPrescott and RadSpyro, but it doesn't seem to be documented anywhere, so I thought I'd blop all my findings down somewhere so someone else doesn't end up having to go through all the trouble I did. Some stuff could also be added to the Wiki articles in the Trivia sections.
EPIC MICKEY 1
- Editing Wii Files: Use Wiiscrubber with a (legally obtained) iso of the game and test on a Softmodded Wii, or ideally in Dolphin.
- Config files: The files cmdline.txt and ConfigFiles.ini seem to have effects on the final game, but not all values work. It is unknown if the InputMapping.xml files work, and I'm pretty sure Config.ini was just for testing. I haven't tried all the values yet.
- Loading Level Files: Currently, the only way I've been able to figure out how to load .level files is to replace the menu value in cmdline.txt with a different level. That way when the game is booted, a level will load instead of the menu. Most of the .level files boot, but most .gsa files just crash it, which is a shame because there are a lot of interesting .gsa file names. (found in PrivateLevelList.txt)
- Radial Debug Menu: Haven't been able to get this up. Found a Mickey pointing hand graphic for it and a command list with commands that could do stuff like increase Mickey's Hero and Scrapper levels and fill up his health. Sounds like a circular menu that was used in development and testing.
- Test Levels: The test levels that do load mostly seem to be for testing particle effects. I'm not familiar with the textures and terrain used in them though. Possibly from the scrapped Wonderland level?
- Scrapped Content:
-- Dropwings are mentioned in the code, but they didn't appear until the second game. We already knew this though.
-- GoBlobs were an early version of Spladooshes, but they oddly have some code for moving around and throwing projectiles.
-- Mentionings of dungeons levels?
-- Possible balloon and fireworks sketches?
EPIC MICKEY 2
- Editing files: I used the PC version because it's the easiest to modify. Not sure if the files are different for the Wii one.
- Config files: ConfigFiles.ini seems like the one to edit, but not all values work. You can do some cool stuff like give Mickey infinite paint and thinner levels and hilariously, swap Mickey and Oswald's character models.
- Loading Level Files: Changing ShowDevLevelLoad in ConfigFiles.ini to true replaces the "Quit" button in the menu with a developer level load menu that allows you to go to any part of the game. Sadly, most of the test files don't work and crash the game, but it's still handy for hopping to different parts of the game. Note that this will mess with your save file.
- Scrapped Content:
-- In unused audio files, Gus references "the world tv" that supposedly lets you visit the cartoon world. One says it's near the Walt Statue, while the other says it's in the Mad Doctor's Attic.
-- In an unused audio file, the Mad Doctor says "Thank you, my friends. Now, I have a little surprise for you and the people of Wasteland. A truly good one this time. Heh heh. I will see you in a few months". Judging by the volume, sounds like it was in a cutscene, but I don't recall ever hearing it.
I'm sure I'm missing a lot of stuff because I took too long to finally decide to make this post, but I'll edit this as I remember and find more stuff. If anyone else has anything to add or has any questions let me know. There's still a lot to discover!
Found even more scrapped concept art on this page:

Most were just models and renders, but there were some interesting and frankly awesome things too. This includes:
Since we all seem to be on at different times, different days, it makes it impossible to communicate very well. Would anyone be interested in figuring out a good time for everyone to hop in the chat? I think it'd be fun to have the community together in the Wiki chat to discuss the Wiki and our recent scrapped content hunt.
If you can be there Saturday May 14 8/20:00 GMT+1, just leave a message down below. It'd be nice to have lots of Epic Mickey wikians there!
If you recall, I found some concept art for EM2 that shows a Jungle Book world and a Robin Hood world. I was on the artist's site and I found the art, but under it, it said "Pitch concept". http://artbydannymoll.com/#/epicmickey2/ This may suggest that the art was used to pitch an idea for the game.
I found this on google images. I just wanted to share it here first in case it's not legit. It's amazing how much stuff we're finding lately!

Now seriously, where did the userblogs go ? Did some hack just decide to delete them 'cause he felt like it ? All this work and information gone without a trace !?… I want an explanation
I was wondering if we had a to-do page for pages that need more work? I guess you could just edit them, but sometimes editors might need help. It would also be good for reference for people who need something to edit.
