A Pirate's Love is one of the three Mandatory Quests that needs to be completed to progress to Tortooga, as well as one of the most in-depth quests in the first game.
Summary[]
The Initial Quest.[]
The quest is discovered after talking to Smee, then Damien Salt in Ventureland. Damien Salt is in love with Henrietta, and wants Mickey's help to find a gift to give her. Mickey can then ask Henrietta what she likes, who will then say that she like flowers instead of ice cream, as she's lactose intolerant.
Damien fails to woo Henrietta if you give him the ice cream
The Thinner Path can be done by buying Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Parlor owned by Paulie. Henrietta will reject the ice cream if Mickey gives it to Damien. Damien will grow furious and give the figurehead to Mickey for 50 E-Tickets to get any representation of Henrietta out of his life.
The Paint Path can be done by heading to Ostown and talking to Clarabelle about getting flowers for Henrietta. This unlocks another quest called "Gather the Flowers". Complete this quest and Clarabelle will give you a bouquet for Damien to give to Henrietta.
Damien Salt wins the heart of Henrietta if you give him the flowers
Giving the flowers to Damien will make Henrietta fall in love with him and Damien will hand over the figurehead, you will earn the Ventureland Romance Pin and Damien will move away from the chest allowing you to get the Gold Pin inside.
Returning from Tortooga.[]
Once Mickey returns from his adventures in Pirates of the Wasteland, the effects of his choices will be immediate.
If Mickey fixes Hook's Machine, regardless of which path he took, than Damien will leave, causing Henrietta to miss him. She then requests Mickey to get her Ice Cream.
If Mickey ignores the machine and gave Damien the flowers, than he'll happily stay in Ventureland with his beloved. He then requests Mickey to start making room in the Treehouse to make room for him and Henrietta.
If Mickey ignores the machine and gave Damien the ice cream, than he'll lament some more about failing to woe her.
