Gremlin Ferdinand gives Mickey an Anvil Sketch.
The Anvil sketch is one of the sketches in the Epic Mickey Series, it causes a temporary anvil to appear. The Anvil sketch can be used to trigger pressure plates, crush enemies or objects, or allow Mickey to climb things that are too high for a jump.
In the series[]
In Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey: Rebrushed[]
In Epic Mickey and Rebrushed, the Anvil sketch is the third and final sketch obtained in the game. The sketch is first obtained in the Lonesome Manor entrance by either opening a chest on the balcony after the Mad Doctor leaves the sketch behind in a chest or by Gremlin Neville after he is freed from the Gremlin cage, in the Lonesome Manor. Any of these methods will trigger the Anvil introduction cutscene.
In Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two[]
The Anvil sketch returns in Epic Mickey 2, it can be purchased for 250 E-Tickets from the Tiki Hut in Ventureland. It can be used an infinite amount of times once purchased, however the damage the anvil sketch does when it comes to crushing enemies has been reduced now needing to be used multiple times on some enemies. Later on, Tiki Sam sells an Anvil Sketch upgrade for 500 E-Tickets, which makes the anvil last longer.
Trivia[]
- In the original Epic Mickey, if the anvil sketch crushes a large enough group of breakable objects, the player will be given a free Anvil sketch.
- Dropping an Anvil on top of an NPC in the original game will count as thinning in the Guardian Meter.
- In the Xbox series X and S ports of Epic Mickey 2 there is a bug that will cause the game to softlock when purchasing the Anvil. There is a fix to this.[1]
- In Epic Mickey 2, if Mickey obtained the Anvil sketch early, Mickey can use it in Prescott's boss fight during the second phase to break the panels on the ground.
