The Blot Wars was an epic battle for the fate of the Cartoon Wasteland, fought between Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and the Shadow Blot over the control of the Wasteland. Though few details are known, it is known that Blot eventually overpowered Oswald, and banished him from the once peaceful Kingdom. However, Oswald and Ortensia eventually confronted the Blot atop Mickeyjunk Mountain, resulting in a battle that saw Ortensia rendered inert and the Bot trapped in the Jug.
In Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, according to Adelle from the Camera Shop, the launching of the fireworks on the castles counted as a part of the Blot Wars, indicating that they are considered to have continued during the Blot's imprisonment up through it's final battle with Mickey and Oswald.
