The Old Mill
The Old Mill is one of the Projector Screens found in the Disney Gulch in Cartoon Wasteland. It is based on the 1937 Silly Symphony cartoon. The cartoon depicts the natural community of animals populating an old abandoned windmill in the country, and how they deal with a violent thunderstorm that nearly destroys their habitat.
Gameplay[]
Mickey and Oswald have to climb to the top using the various platforms and pulleys to get to the top. They will also need to briefly disturb an owl's nest in order to reach the next projector screen.
The Old Mill V1[]
The Old Mill V1 connects Disney gulch and the Mad Doctor's Lab. This version has the mill in the morning.
Film reel location[]
The Film reel for the Old Mill V1 can be found over the projector on its left side. Mickey or Oswald will have to stand on a pile of hay on the left and weigh it down bringing the hay on the right higher opening up a hole to the Film Reel. If the player doesn't stand on the hay for long enough the hay on the right will crush the player when they run over to the hole.
Collecting Gold pin[]
Requires the steamboat willie costume to acquire. On either side. Near the film reel. Use the pile of hay on a rope to reach it.
The Old Mill V2[]
The Old Mill V2 connects the Disney Gulch and the Mad Doctor's Lab (secret route).
Film Reel location[]
The film reel can be found on the right side (Mickey's side/right on the projector). The player should stick to the right side of the path (don't go through the nest). After a while the player will reach the top of the mill and to their left will be the film reel on a ledge which can be reached by jumping onto the wooden turbine.
Collecting Gold pin[]
Requires the steamboat willie costume to acquire. On Mickey's side. Go to the right side when presented the two paths. The pin is on the way up to the film reel. Use the springboard to reach it.
The Old Mill V3[]
The Old Mill V3 connects the Floatyard and Prescott's Arena (secret route).
Film Reel location[]
The Film Reel can be found on either paths. It is on the top of the old mill across a couple swinging platforms.

Requires steamboat willie costume to acquire. On Mickey's side. On the way up. Left of a platform attached by rope.
Trivia[]
- The cartoon was the first to to use the multiplane camera which was later implemented in Fantasia and other Disney films. It was purposely being tested in this short for use in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
- Gameplay-wise, it is similar to the Clock Cleaners Projecter Screen as both involve climbing the inside of a building (Clock Cleaners being the tall clock tower from the cartoon and the Old Mill being the abandoned mill).
- The Old Mill was the first projecter screen level to be revealed to be in Epic Mickey 2 according to E3's Demos.
- The Old Mill V3 is the only film strip in Epic Mickey 2 that is mutually exclusive with another film strip, in this case The Band Concert V2. By taking the normal route to Prescott's Arena, The Band Concert V2 will normally become available on return visits to the Arena for travel to the Floatyard. However, returning to the Floatyard, then taking the still-available secret route and The Old Mill V3 will cause the Arena Projector Screen to switch to The Old Mill V3, locking the player out of ever returning to The Band Concert V2.
