Unseen Characters in the Epic Mickey series are characters who are canonically confirmed to exist, but have never appeared visibly, on-screen or in a comic panel. The list of these characters is as follows:

  • Blackbeard
  • Colonel Pete
  • Constance Hatchaway
  • Ghost Pete
  • Henrietta's Father
  • Robot Dog

Blackbeard[]

Blackbeard is an unseen character mentioned in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. In Ventureland, the player can speak to the Pirates staying there who will tell them that Blackbeard has driven their crew out of Pirates of the Wasteland. As a result, he may be responsible, or involved with, the disappearance of Animatronic Captain Hook.

Character backstory[]

Blackbeard is named after the infamous historic pirate who actually lived. However, Epic Mickey's character is likely inspired by the original pirate captain from the Disney Parks' Pirates of the Caribbean rides, who was replaced some years by Captain Barbossa from the film series. It is unknown whether any connection exists between him and the Blackbeard featured in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, other than their name.

Scrapped content[]

Notice: This article or section contains information about content that was planned or conceptualized for the Epic Mickey series, but was ultimately scrapped. Information about scrapped content should not be considered canon.

One of Epic Mickey 2's many concepts that were cut because of rushed production was to be a subplot of a pirate civil war in Pirates of the Wasteland, which was between the forces of Blackbeard and Animatronic Hook. Mickey, Oswald, and Gus were to be caught in the middle of this war, but it is unknown which pirate lord they would have sided with, if any.

Colonel Pete[]

Colonel Pete is an unseen character mentioned in Epic Mickey. He is an ancestor of Big Bad Pete. Before Mickey's trip to Lonesome Manor, Big Bad Pete asks Mickey to go find cartoons with him in them. It is possible that Colonel Pete is an earlier rendition of Pete that appears in Walt Disney's Alice Comedies and/or Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoons, though his identity is not confirmed.

Constance Hatchaway[]

Constance Hatchaway is an unseen character mentioned in Epic Mickey. According to Horace Horsecollar, she used to live in Lonesome Manor, where she murdered all of the husbands she ever had with a hatchet. She is only mentioned inside the quest Find the Hatchet, by Horace and Madame Leona.

Trivia[]

  • In the Tales of Wasteland digicomic, there is an unnamed ghost bride who chases after Oswald. This character could be Hatchaway herself.
  • Constance Hatchaway's name obviously sounds like hatchet.
  • After Mickey gives Constance's hatchet to Horace, he (Horace) mentions that Moody will be relieved. It is unknown how Moody is affected but he may have had a connection to one of Constance's late husbands.
  • If one returns to Ventureland after fixing both Hook's Machine and the Pipe Organ, than an NPC by the name of Constance will show up. It is unknown if these two are connected however.

Ghost Pete[]

A Lonesome Ghost mentioning Ghost Pete

Ghost Pete is an unseen character mentioned by one of the Lonesome Ghosts in the Tales of Wasteland story: One Scary Night, and is meant to be the Pete counterpart of Lonesome Manor. dared Oswald to spend one whole night in the Manor, Ghost Pete has dared the Lonesome Ghosts to spend one day in a non-haunted house. When they choose Oswald's house, the ghosts don't expect that it was occupied by the Bunny Children, who begin making their (after)life impossible.

Henrietta's Father[]

Henrietta's Father is an unseen character mentioned in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two by Damien Salt. He is described as an opponent of his courtship of Henrietta. As such, Damien appeals to Mickey and Oswald in the quest A Captain's Life for Me to help him find Animatronic Hook's treasure in hopes of impressing his hopeful future father-in-law.

Robot Dog[]

The Robot Dog is an unseen character mentioned in Epic Mickey. In the quest Find Dog Tags, Horace tells the player that there is a missing robot dog in Tomorrow City, and if they could find Dog Tags, that that would be a huge break in the case.

Concept art showing Ortensia walking a dog in Tomorrow City

  • In the Great Big Tomorrow, Mister Rover mentions the robot dog, calling it his own, and remarking that he hopes Horace can find it.
  • The dog is likely Animatronic Pluto, or a version of Nipper the Robot Dog (a character at various Space Mountains in the Disney Parks), or a mix of both.
  • In concept art of Tomorrow City, Ortensia can be seen walking a dog that may or may not be the elusive Robot Dog.
