Hoppers peck at Mickey if he gets to close, losing a life. To defeat them, paint will not work, as they are [[Beetleworx]]. As machines do not have emotions, paint will not be able to redeem them, so you have to defeat them with [[Thinner]]. They have an iron shell which will be melted with Thinner, like all Beetleworx. When you have done this, use Mickey's Spin Move right on their green glowing points and they will be defeated. Hitting this will defeat them. Another way to defeat the Hoppers is to use your Spin Move repeatedly and push them aside to Thinner pools or cliffs.

Strategy

Hoppers peck at Mickey if he gets to close, losing a life. To defeat them, paint will not work, as they are Beetleworx. As machines do not have emotions, paint will not be able to redeem them, so you have to defeat them with Thinner.

In the second game, they're shown to have buzzsaws implanted into their heads.
