Jiminy Cricket is a small cricket who first appeared in Pinocchio as the deuteragonist.
He is clever, kind, caring and brave. He will do anything for a friend and acts as a conscience to those who need a guide. Jiminy has since become a popular Disney mascot, and one of their most famous with Mickey Mouse and Tinker Bell.
Role in the series[]
In Epic Mickey[]
The Lifter Beetleworx, which was scrapped before finalization of the game was showcased to have one such variety that featured Jiminy's head as well, the head of the Lifter. It was unknown where it would have been used.
In Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two[]
His likeness appears in a structure during the second portion of Disney Gulch. Activating it causes it's mouth to open, revealing a treasure chest and a secret projector to the Mad Doctor's Lab to fight the Blotworx Dragon. Said structure also appears in the World of Evil projector screen near the end of the game.
In Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion []
Jiminy Cricket has a important role in the game. Like the other famous characters, Jiminy Cricket has been sucked to Cartoon Wasteland by the evil witch, Mizrabel in the Castle to drain his Toon essence for her to return to the Toon World.
He serves as a guide to Mickey in his adventure through the Castle of Illusion, replacing Gremlin Gus for the duration of the game.
Trivia[]
- Jiminy's role in the Power of Illusion is much like that of Gremlin Gus in Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 2. Which can be considered ironic as Gus's role is meant to be an homage to him.
