The Mean Street Underground is a place in Epic Mickey 2 that connects Mean Street South and Mean Street North. The name, as it suggest, is located underground. It can be accessed by two hatches, one next to Horace's Detective Agency in Mean Street South, and another located in a small building under Mean Street North. The underground separates Mean Street North and South by a river of thinner and a small abyss. the player needs to, as Mickey, toss Oswald in the air and hover over using the various air streams blowing up over the abyss. Once Mickey has safely crossed the abyss, he can use the Mean Street North Elevator or Mean Street South Elevator to get out.

The Mean Street Underground is a level in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

It might be based on the utilidors of the real world Disney Parks, and serves as a connection between Mean Street North and South after the quakes. The Underground's main entrance on Mean Street South is located next to Horace's Detective Agency, and the main entrance on Mean Street North is on the side of a cliff in a Gremlin hut.

After defeating the Blotworx Dragon, there will be some hovering platforms with Chests, each yielding Generic Pins.

Throughout the game, there are 6 secret entrances that need to be repaired with Scrap Metal or destroyed (this will close them). The scrap metal discount given by Jamface for the Operation Gremlin Drop quest applies to all of them. After the repairs, Mickey and Oswald can enter and fix up the machinery found inside, which will lead to special pins and restoration of areas on Mean Street.

All of them will be available for repair after visiting OsTown, except the trash compactor which will become unavailable after episode 1 and can only become available for repair after saving the gremlin in Blot Alley and beating Blot Alley.

The secret entrances are as follows:

The Robot Head

The Robot Head is in the center of Mean Street South, it costs 50 scrap metal to repair. Enter the robot head by jumping into the mouth. This will bring Mickey to a tunnel, to get past the pipes paint them in. Then shock the door outside to enter the underground. This will take Mickey and Oswald to the second Ventilation system, a giant fan. It can be repaired by flying around and painting in the 4 generators then shocking them. After repairing the other Ventilation system (accessed by the Fishead Hut) the handymouse pin can be retrieved at the chest fan (The chest will switch to a different pin if both fans are destroyed, if one is fixed and the other is destroyed it will give neither chest).

The Paint Tower

The Paint Tower is on top of the town hall in Mean Street South, it costs 40 scrap metal to repair. It will lead to a generator room, just pull the generator to one of the blue spots in the ground by painting in the valves. Then use a fairy Sketch to push the generator across the gap to the other blue spot, another way is thinning the fan and shocking it to go through the fan. This will give a chest with the Foreman pin at the exit.

Shock the pump to reset it to switch out what its filled with. The door will open after filling the pump. If both pumps are filled with paint the chest fan will reward the player with the Fixer upper pin.

Then use a fairy sketch to push the generator to the second blue spot. This will give a chest with the Urban Renewal pin at the exit.

The Gremlin Hut is in Mean Street North on top of the Ice Cream Parlor. Unlike the other buildings it does not cost scrap metal to repair this building, instead spray paint into the funnel on the right side, then when the tank is full of paint shock it.
