A New 2DS XL, part of the 3DS family
The Nintendo 3DS is a handheld console developed by Nintendo. It's the successor to the Nintendo DSi and was originally released February 26, 2011. It added several new features to the DS line, such as a glasses-less 3D screen and a circle pad, among many other additions technical improvements. Many different iterations have been released since 2011, such as models with larger screens, more processing power and cheaper, 2D-only displays.
