Paint the lanterns is a sidequest given to Mickey by Scallywag Gabe in Tortooga.
Mickey can use one of the three keys hidden throughout Tortooga to unlock Scallywag Gabe's cell. Upon opening his cell, Gabe will inform Mickey that parts of an old ride are submerged in the harbor, and that restoring the lamps with paint will cause some of it to rise.
To complete this quest, Mickey must paint the three lanterns found in Tortooga. It is impossible to paint the lanterns without first talking to and freeing Scallywag Gabe. After all three are painted in, a chest will rise out from the harbor containing a Bronze Pin. This quest is optional and not needed to progress the game.
Note that, even if the quest is completed, the bronze pin chest will not be present upon your return from the Jungle. You must collect the chest before leaving.
Lamp Locations[]
- Two lamps are located on the corners of the main deck, facing outward.
- One lamp is located on the Governor's Mansion, where a key to free a prisoner is also found.
