Rainbow Falls is a one of the locations in Wasteland, first appearing in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. The Rainbow Falls are a naturally occurring cave system used to power the Projector Screens
Story[]
Past[]
Sometime after the events of Epic Mickey, Prescott entered the Rainbow Falls Substation and sabatoged the machine moments before the quakes occured. Since then, Small Pete had been sent to repair the machine.
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two[]
When Mickey and Oswald arrive from OsTown, the projectors are still down and the Substation is the epicentre of the issue. They find where the Substation is located, and turn on the pipes to the machine. Small Pete, who was still fixing the machine, gets Mickey's and Oswald's attention and complain to them that the machine wasn't ready, with the pipes causing all sorts of problems. After Mickey and Oswald setup all the pipes, they fix the machine and bring the Projectors back online. The Mad Doctor then calls Oswald on his Remote and asks them to come to his Lab in the Gulch to tell them some good news, only to then hear a sound and lose connection. Mickey belives the Mad Doctor must be in trouble and the two head off to the Rainbow Caverns in order to reach the Gulch.
Small Pete stays behind to continue doing repairs and eventually comes across gags from the Gag Factory jammed into the pipes. Small Pete decides to take one and reports his finding to Mickey, Oswald, and Gus in Mean Street South claiming they must have been put there on purpose as sabotage.

Rainbow Falls[]
The Ink Well in front of the Guardian Pool.
Upon entering, a Guardian Pool surrounding an Ink Well can be found. The Ink Well in question resembles the statues of the Seven Sisters found in the Angel Caverns. There is an eye guarding a door, then two doors which go to different sections of the caves.
This leads to the main body of the cave, where several Paint and Thinner falls can be found. The paint geysers can be ridden to reach new elevations. Various detailed cave paintings can be found based on the characters and scenes of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Up on the main platform, another Ink Well can be found on top of the Thinner falls.
Substation[]
Beyond the Thinner curtain is the Substation. The source of power for the Projector Screens around Wasteland. The iconic Seven Dwarfs carved into the walls of the caves can be seen with the different colours of paint flowing down. The dwarves appearing in this order from left to right: Sleepy, Grumpy, Doc, Sneezy, Happy, Dopey and Bashful. From here, there is also a view of the Angel's Sword and the Devil Falls Maze, which are part of the next area. There are three repairable pipes around the substation. A massive fan, a raising platform, gears on a weight system and a clock which cannot be painted in permanently. The main system is in the centre with small pete working under.
Gameplay[]
To progress through the first area, Mickey must sneak through a security door guarded by an eye using the invisible ink from the ink well. Then through two doors, one which can be unlocked by breaking the lock, the other requires a firework to break down and is a shortcut to the thinner falls. The thinner falls can only be passed through using the indelible ink from the ink well.
The substation can be repaired or destroyed based on whether the 3 pipes are repaired. 2/3 need to be repaired to go to angel caverns, 2/3 need to be destroyed to get to devil caverns. First turn it on by going to the back pull the mickey head and shock it.
The first pipe left of the D.E.C. entrance can be repaired by painting in the gears on the pulley and pushing the pipe to the left side, then connected the blue pipe to it with the handle by pushing. This pipe can be destroyed by thinning the gears on the pulley then pushing it into the white pipe on the right.
The second pipe on the roof can be reached with the flying platform. To repair the pipe pull the pipe to the right so it closes, to destroy the pipe thin the rocks above it.
The third pipe is behind a metal wall and fan, fix it by using either a clock sketch or painting in the clock on the wall to slow down time and jump through the fan, spin the gear on the pipe by spin attacking to turn it on. To destroy it use fireworks to blow up the fan and spin the gear.

Trivia[]
- It is based mostly on Mine Train through Nature's Wonderland, though its name can clearly be attributed to the Rainbow Caverns Mine Train attraction.
- Judging by the broken rails, minecarts and tools lying around the area, it is reasonable to assume that at one point there was a functioning mine in this location. This is probably all in reference to the attraction it is modeled after, Rainbow Caverns Mine Train.
