Spladooshes, originally named Go-Blobs, are fat Blotlings that keep Mickey on his toes. He will first meet a group of Spladooshes on Mickeyjunk Mountain around a Paint and Thinner Pump., where Gus explains that Spladooshes attack Mickey by exploding when he disturbs them. They also return in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Strategies[]

The Spladoosh is a simple enemy to combat. It's easy to avoid them by slowly walking past them, as they won't wake up and explode if Mickey is stealthy. Another method is to try and befriend them using Paint, although it requires a lot and they still have a chance to explode. It's not recommended to use Thinner against them, as it makes them explode much faster. If they do end up exploding, Mickey will be launched backwards and he'll lose 2-3 Health Pips. This could be beneficial however, as it can damage other Blotlings that are near the Spladoosh. This is clearly helpful in areas such as Mt. Osmore Slopes as you need to defeat a large amount of Blotlings that are nearby to Spladooshes.

Sketches have a variety of uses against Spladooshes. The Watch Sketch can be used to quickly run past a Spladoosh without angering it, or to spend an extended period of time near one without it exploding - such as in the Foyer of Lonesome Manor. The TV Sketch can also be used to distract a Spladoosh, as it'll make them lean forward and laugh in joy. This effect ends if you attack them, however. You should be careful when doing this though, if you place a TV Sketch on top of a Spladoosh, it will become electrocuted and angry instead. Finally, the Anvil Sketch is makes the Spladoosh instantly explode. As said above, this can have its uses if the Spladoosh is near other enemies.

Scrapped

Notice: This article or section contains information about content that was planned or conceptualized for the Epic Mickey series, but was ultimately scrapped. Information about scrapped content should not be considered canon.

  • A befriended Spladoosh can revert back to an enemy again after two hits from a Beetleworx or a large blotling like a Slobber. For example, say a Basher accidentally hits a Spladoosh instead of Mickey. It will lose some Paint. If hit a second time, it will lose all the paint and will revert back to being an enemy.
  • Befriended Spladooshes are the only Blotlings that, when befriended, cannot help you in battle with enemies, mostly due to not being able to walk and being inactive all the time.
  • Although Gus said Spladooshes don't move around, one managed to lock up Gremlin Neville in a cage in the Lonesome Manor Courtyard.
  • The Spladoosh is the only blotling to not have red eyes and mouth during harder levels.
  • In the first game, Spladooshes have cartoon 'Z's floating off their heads while they sleep.
  • Originally, Spladooshes might have used their legs to walk around and possibly throw projectiles at Mickey. This is referenced both in the code and in concept art.
  • In the files, Spladooshes are called "blotlingKamikaze".
