Splatter-Bots were Beetleworx that were scrapped in the final version in Epic Mickey. They came from an earlier testing grounds where they were trying to see how dark they were allowed to go for the game.
According to the concept art, the Splatter-Bot has four spider-like legs, skull with a missing eye from the left shoulder, three arms, and a disturbing-version of Mickey's head on the top.
While they weren't used in the first game, they may have served as the inspiration for the Blotworx, albeit with a more toned down design to match the current game's look and artstyle.
