The Usher of the Mean Street Cinema is a Goat/Cow who appears in Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.
In Epic Mickey[]
In Epic Mickey, he gives rewards to Mickey as he turns in Film Reels to the Cinema. He can only give the rewards once per game file, and those include a one-time-only Power Spark, Health Upgrade, bronze pin, silver pin, gold pin, the Oh What a Knight and The Mad Doctor cartoons, and, after all 36 reels have been turned in, the "Cartoon Buff" pin.
After all 36 reels have been turned in, he claims that decades working at the Cinema have made his eyes really sensitive to bright light.
In Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two[]
The Usher is now a Cow instead of a Goat, which is most likely an oversight by the developers. He stays inside the cinema, which the player can now enter. He allows Mickey and Oswald to fast-travel to places via Projector Screens.
Once the fuse box of the Mean Street Cinema is fixed, the Usher gives Mickey and Oswald some scrap metal. From Episode 2: A Small Mystery, Mickey and Oswald can use the Cinema Projector to travel directly to the destination of previously travelled Projectors. If the Film Reel of a Projector Screen has not been collected, Mickey must pay a rent of 50 E-Tickets each time the Projector is used. Otherwise, it is free of cost. The Cinema Projector skips the film and takes Mickey and Oswald directly to their destination. It is also possible to reach the Cinema from any Projector by spinning the gear until an image of Mickey is displayed and then entering it.
The Usher is required to complete Fifer Pig's path of the side quest Creative Threedom.
Trivia[]
- The Usher appears as a Goat in the first game, but a Cow in the second. This is the exact opposite of Jack Kelly, who appears as a Cow in the first game and a Goat in the second. Seeing as they both live in Mean Street North, their templates were likely switched on accident while designing Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.
- Epic Mickey: Rebrushed also did a similar mistake by turning the Usher into a Cow again.
