A group of notable Toons composed of Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, and Gremlin Gus
Toons are the central characters of Epic Mickey, they are living cartoon characters made of Paint. Each Toon in their world have hearts, which are a key factor in their popularity. Upon losing their popularity in the real world, they lose their hearts and wind up in Wasteland.
Toons come in all shapes and sizes, from anthropomorphic animals, to humans, to mythical creatures to even objects.
Being made of paint, they can be reduced to a puddle when hit with Thinner, but can be restore by being hit with paint. They can also be transformed into Inert or Blot Spirits if influenced by the Blot. Some toons also seem to exist as part of Projector Screens.
The word "Toon" was made popular by Disney media such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Toontown Online, but has become a popular term to refer to living cartoon characters in general.
