Epic Mickey Wiki

There is currently a rumor going around that Epic Mickey will have a remake. (Goes and checks news) Nope. Nothing new. Well, anyways, some of the original EM concepts were suprisingly dark. Kinda scary, actually. Like the Blot, who looked like he came straight out of a nightmare. It was a little freaky.

Now, personally I would have liked to see Epic Mickey be darker. It had its dark moments, sure, but nothing like it could have been. But Disney is restricted, as it really can't make a Mickey Mouse game that would be scary. In fact, Disney was almost pushing its limits.

Well, EM came, and then it went. It was underrated, and quite the disapointment for the fans who were thinking it was going to be nightmare fuel.

But then came the year 2017. A year that will live in the minds of geeks forever. It was the year of the release of Bendy and the Ink Machine, a seemingly insignificant little game about classic cartoons gone wrong. It was strikingly like Epic Mickey, just a little darker. I'll note that the concepts Junction Point came up with are still more scary.

Anyways, Bendy spread, in the words of one site, like a fire in a Kleenex factory. It was a hit virtually overnight. Now it will have a sequel, and has a massive following.

If you're in for a darker game, Bendy is a real treat. Not only is it what Epic Mickey sadly wasn't, it even has a great story and some fantastic characters. (I'll always remember you, Boris.)

One word of advice, though. Don't waste your time with the wiki or most of the fans. They are idioitic and I'm frankly disapointed that there's not a better group of people playing it.
